THE MACHINE

Stretch wrapping is the most economical way of Roll packing. This model is used for packing PP woven rolls, with upto 5.4meter width. It can also be used to pack rolls of many items like denim fabric, carpets, curtain cloth, paper, film etc.

This automatic PP woven roll wrapping machine consists of two modules with automatic roll wrapping section and Roll storage conveyor system. The main feature of the Roll wrapper, Roll stopper, Roll ejector, Automatic film cutting and holding device, Automatic film attachment device. The concept of zone conveying eliminates build up of excessive pressure and load on the conveyor systems.

It is a real fact that for all those weaving industries where the production is huge, handling Cloth Rolls for local transportation or for exports, without affecting their Quality, will always be a problem, unless & until the above machine is introduced.

This machine is ideally suitable for large weaving mills manufacturing heavier and wider-width cloth rolls like Denim Fabrics, Carpets, Upholsteries, where cloth in Roll-Forms are to be protected from dust & moisture when in storage and in subsequent transportation. The automated operation cycle can be programmed and monitored through microprocessor interface. This machine saves huge labour costs as well as packing time apart from convenience while loading trucks / containers when dispatched from mills. Changing over from Shrink wrapping to this type of Stretch Wrapping, gives huge amount of savings in power costs, and hence its cost of investment is paid back within 'few months'.

The Automatic roll wrapper is built around a specially designed roll wrappe which can stretch wrap rolls upto 500mm diameter and 5.4m width.
Roll wrapper: It receives rolls from the storage and indexing conveyor and automatically attaches the film and completes the wrapping operation in an automated cycle.
Roll stopper: The roll stopper is a pneumaticaly operated device. The roll is delived from the ramp and rolls down into the wrapper. The roll stopper stops the roll so that the roll is positioned over the drive rollers. Its operation is synchronized with the roll feeding arrangements.
Roll ejection: On completion of the wrapping process, the wrapped rolls are ejected by electronically operated kicker arm. The movement of the arm is synchronized with the roll feeding system and the roll stopper so that there is no accidental fowling between the mechanisms on roll.
Cut: On completion of the wrapping process, the device moves out to hold the film and detaches it from the roll through a hot wire cutter.
Attachment: The film is attached to the rolls by the gripper mechanism.
The above systems are automated and sequenced through a Programmable Logic Controller (PLC).

Storage conveyors
This system receives the roll places at the front end of the conveyor and conveys it up and collates the rolls. The concept of zone conveying eliminates build up of excessive pressure and load on the conveyor systems. The conveyor comes to rest when their storage capacity is reached. The automated cycle of operation ensures indexed feeding of rolls and automated receipt of rolls.

It is easy to operate & very simple to maintain; it is sturdy & user friendly; it can accommodate even wider width - bigger diameter fabric rolls & stretch wrap them quickly. This machine is using 220 V, 1-phase, 15 Amps, & 1.5 KW power supply.
